Paris Saint Germain have reportedly given Saudi Pro League club, Al-Hilal access to negotiate with French footballer Kylian Mbappe after accepting their record transfer fee reportedly worth €300 million.

Earlier today, Naija News reported that the Saudi Pro League side have taken a bold step to submit a record offer for the embattled 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.

Recall that Kylian Mbappe and PSG are currently having a contract face-off which has forced the French club to drop the France international from the squad that went on tour in Japan.

Mbappe’s contract with PSG will expire next summer but there is a clause in his contract that permitted PSG to extend the contract by a year.

However, Mbappe has written to the French club that he won’t extend his contract any further and want to play for the club throughout the 2023-2024 season, and then leave the club for free next summer.

But PSG have said they won’t allow him to stay at the club beyond this summer if he is not ready to extend his contract with the reigning French Ligue 1 champions.

To make their stand clearer, PSG put Mbappe up for sale last Friday and a series of clubs have shown interest in him even though the French side have placed a €200 million price tag on the five-time French Ligue 1 champion.

Interestingly, Al-Hilal have decided to test the waters with a €300 million bid. And as expected, PSG have accepted the bid from the Saudi club.

According to a report by the AFP, PSG have given the PIF-funded Saudi Arabia side Al-Hilal permission to go ahead and negotiate with Mbappe. Hence, the world is anxiously waiting for the reaction of Mbappe to this development.
