Saudi Pro League club, Al Hilal have reportedly made a whopping £259 million bid to Paris Saint Germain for the services of their embattled forward, Kylian Mbappe.

Kylian Mbappe who has won four Ligue 1 titles at PSG and one at Monaco is currently in a contract tussle with PSG as his contract is set to expire next summer.

Mbappe doesn’t want to exercise the one-season contract extension option in the deal and doesn’t want to be sold this summer as he reportedly wants to join Real Madrid for free next summer.

On the other, PSG wants the 24-year-old French forward to extend his contract with the club this summer or be sold to the highest bidder this summer.

Amidst that, the French reigning champions have removed Mbappe from the team as they continue to prepare for the next season outside France.

Reports claimed that PSG are aware that Kylian Mbappe has an agreement with Real Madrid to join the Spanish giants when his contract with the French team expires next summer. Hence, the French side are doing everything possible to ensure that the France international doesn’t leave the club for free.

Also, Mbappe is reportedly willing to sit on the bench throughout next season and then leave the club for free next summer.

Amid that, Al Hilal are ready to take advantage of the situation as they have submitted a record-breaking £259 million bid for Mbappe.

If this deal scale through, Mbappe will become the most expensive player in the history of football, overtaking Neymar who left FC Barcelona for PSG in 2017 for a transfer fee worth £200 million.

Based on the present situation, PSG are expected to accept the offer but there is a very high likelihood that Kylian Mbappe won’t accept the two years deal even though it came with a clause that will enable him to join Real Madrid next summer.
