Justice Dije Aboki has been confirmed as the substantive Chief Judge of Kano State.

Naija News understands that the Kano State House of Assembly approved Aboki’s appointment at the plenary on Thursday, making her the first female Chief Judge in the state.

The development is coming after consideration of a letter forwarded to the assembly by Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir-Yusuf, that was read by the Speaker, Ismail Falgore, during the plenary today.

It could be recalled that former Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, swore in Justice Aboki as acting Chief Judge of the state in March this year.

Similarly, the Kano State House of Assembly has confirmed three more commissioner-nominees sent to the Assembly by Gov. Kabir-Yusuf.

The individuals were, however, confirmed for the positions on Thursday after a thorough screening by the Assembly presided over by Falgore on Thursday.

The nominees screened were Ibrahim Fagge, Ibrahim Namadi and Amina Abdullahi-Sani, Naija News understands.

In his remark after the confirmation, Falgore asked the cleared nominees to justify the appointment by being dedicated to their duties when assigned portfolios.

He urged them to complement Governor Yusuf’s efforts in the state’s development. After the confirmation, the nominees described the opportunity as a call to serve the people of the State.
