The manager of Arsenal football club, Mikel Arteta, has agreed that the club’s talisman, Bukayo Saka has “a lot” to improve upon despite being one of the hottest youngsters in the world.

Bukayo Saka has been in incredible form for not just Arsenal but for the Three Lions of England. Recall that he recently scored a goal and provided an assist in England’s 2-1 win over Ukraine in the country’s Euro 2024 qualifiers in March.

Before the international break, the 21-year-old Nigerian-born England international has been the driving force in Arsenal’s push for a Premier League title so far this season.

Saka has featured in all the Premier League games Arsenal has played this season. Interestingly, he has been outstanding in all of them. His brilliant performance has earned him numerous man-of-the-match awards both at international and club levels.

Note that the pacy and versatile 21-year-old winger has scored a whopping 12 goals and has provided 11 assists in 28 Premier League games so far this season.

Due to his outstanding performance especially in the Premier League, Arsenal is currently topping the league table with 69 points in 28 games. They are leading Manchester City which have a game in hand with 8 points.

When asked if there was a further improvement to come from Saka, coach Mikel Arteta said: “Yes.

“First of all, I think you have to recognize what he’s been doing. The consistency he’s shown at his age and this level is something rare to see. He’s taken it with normality.

“If you ask me if he has room for improvement, I would say: ‘Yes – a lot.’ He’s never satisfied, he always wants more and he can still do a lot of things better and more efficiently.

“But we are really pleased to have him.”

To appreciate Bukayo Saka for his outstanding performance so far and to protect him against suitors in the coming transfer window, Arsenal are set to offer him a mega deal.

The new deal is already on the table even though his current contract which earns him just £70,000 per week is set to expire in June 2024.

According to Daily Mail, the new deal that Saka is yet to sign will keep the 21-year-old English sensation at the club until 2028.

The icing on the cake is that Saka will be earning a whopping £300,000 per week if he signs the contract. Once that is sealed, Saka will become the highest-paid player at Arsenal and 9th highest-paid in the Premier League.
