He applauded the residents for the huge turnout of voters in the ongoing governorship and House of Assembly elections across the state.

PDP Speaks On Not Fielding Any Candidate In Ebonyi

Meanwhile, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in Ebonyi State, has dismissed as disinformation, a claim by Tochukwu Okorie, a former member of the party, that the party has no governorship candidate for Saturday’s election.

Abia Onyike, Director of Media and Publicity, PDP Campaign Council, maintained that Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii remains its governorship candidate.

Onyike noted that Okorie was acting out of frustration, after being expelled from the party.

The statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to a purported piece of disinformation and useless propaganda emanating from one Mr. Toochukwu Okorie, a former Chairman of PDP in Ebonyi State who was suspended by the National Working Committee of the Party for anti-party activities,” Onyike said.
