Police Arrest Two Terrorists, Recover 100 Cattle In Katsina

Some officials of the Nigerian Navy reportedly invaded a police facility in Delta State, on Friday evening and assaulted a police officer.

Naija News learnt that the incident happened at Enerhen police station, in Warri.

In the viral video, the assaulted officer could be seen moving restlessly inside the premises of the police station, surrounded by angry colleagues who were appealing to him to stay calm.

His face was bloodied and his police uniform was partially torn.

The injured police officer later pulled off his shirt and hastened towards the gate, apparently to go after the naval officials who allegedly assaulted him.

It is uncertain why the security personnel were involved in the fracas.

However, the Delta State Police spokesman, Bright Edafe, in an interview with Premium Times said they are treating the issue internally.

“We are treating that matter internally,” he said.

Scores Killed As Troops Clash With Bandits

Meanwhile, Scores of bandits were reportedly killed when they clashed with troops of Operation Hadarin Daji in Zamfara State during the week.

It was gathered that the gallant troops went hard on the bandits in the Magami district of Gusau Local Government Area of the state.

Naija News learnt that many of the assailants were forced to flee with various degrees of injuries.

A military source who confided in Daily Post said the troops were able to recover two motorcycles during the operation.
