2023 Governorship Election: Fresh Poll Predicts States To Be Won By APC, Labour Party, PDP, Others

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Ekene Enefe has disclosed the reason the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) did not transmit the election results electronically during last Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Enefe claimed that some political parties brought in hackers from Israel and Russia to manipulate the election result.

He stated this while speaking on Arise Television’s The Morning Show on Friday.

Enefe claimed that the perpetrators realized they were losing and decided to bring in hackers to forcefully claim victory.

He stated that the perpetrators were unsuccessful and the electoral body decided not to transmit the results.

Enefe said, “Each party has a situation room, they have known the results. They knew they were losing and they wanted to cling to something and what they wanted to cling on is the transmission of the results to the portal.

“But people do not know how many times the Independent National Electoral Commission server was hacked and attacked. And this was done by political parties that brought in Russian and Israeli hackers to hack into the INEC server and to transmit the end result and create chaos.

“None of them succeeded and that is why the election, to the best of my knowledge, wasn’t transmitted on the INEC server.”

Enefe’s claim is coming few days after  agents of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party (LP) and some other political parties stormed out of the National Collation Centre during the collation of the presidential election results at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja, demanding the suspension of collation.
