Gianni Improta, a former midfielder for Napoli, is thrilled with the connection between Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia at Napoli.

The partnership between Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has helped Napoli to win 18 games, draw twice, and recorded just one defeat in 21 games. Their efforts pushed Napoli to the top of the Serie A table with 13 points above second-placed Inter Milan.

While Osimhen moved from French club Lille to Napoli for an African transfer record fee of €81 million with add-ons in 2020, the relatively unknown Georgian joined Luciano Spalletti’s team from Dinamo Batumi in July for €10 million.

Osimhen, a forward from Nigeria, managed to score 10 and 14 goals in each of his first two seasons with Napoli despite suffering from injuries and other health issues.

This season, he has developed a terrifying bond with Kvaratskhelia, and their productive combination is a big reason Napoli is in a position to win their first league championship in more than three decades.

By utilizing the skills and creativity of Kvaratskhelia, Osimhen has developed into an unstoppable goalscoring powerhouse in the Italian Serie A and has scored 16 goals in 17 appearances for Naples.

The 21-year-old Georgian playmaker leads the division in chances created and assists (nine assists, while the Nigerian striker leads the league with 16 league goals.

“Kravatskhelia and Osimhen form a phenomenal couple,” Improta told Radio Marte, as per Tutto Napoli.

“In my opinion, they are the strongest in Europe, as well as among the youngest and, consequently, the one with there’s incredible room for improvement.

“We’ll see more of it with these two guys in the next ten years, as long as they let us enjoy them here in Naples. Age, physical strength, generosity, altruism: they have it all. They always improve, game after game, even thanks to Spalletti.”
