APC Holds Solidarity Rally For Tinubu In USA

More campaign activities are being suspended across States of the federation as the countdown to the 2023 general election draws nearer.

Naija News learnt that the latest on the list is the Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which has also suspended all campaign rallies due to the fuel scarcity and cash crunch faced by most Nigerians.

In a statement issued by the spokesman of the party in the state, Alex Kalejaiye, the Ondo APC chairman,  Ade Adetimehin has directed party chairmen and Directors-General at all levels within the chapter to suspend rallies in sympathy with the people.

According to him, the decision to suspend campaign rallies was to sympathize with the people of Ondo over the hardship the cash crunch and fuel scarcity has created.

The Ondo APC chair explained that the people had every right to be angry because the country is experiencing the unusual cost of the pump prices and shortage of cash a few weeks before the general elections.

He appealed to the people of the state that despite they have the right to be angry, they should do so as patriots that believed in a better tomorrow.

Adetimehin submitted that : “As a party, we identify with our people at this unpleasant period. We agree they are exercising their rights, but urge them to do so with measures of restraints. Our strong belief is that this time shall fade soon.

“The tireless efforts of the Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu-led administration to ameliorate the harsh situation, and ensure the security of residents of the Sunshine State is appreciated

“Our party chieftains and members must show more understanding, and identify with those in their various localities.”
