Premier League: Liverpool, West Ham And Leicester Suffer Defeats

It was a Saturday to forget for top Premier League clubs like Liverpool, West Ham United, and Leicester City as they suffered defeats in today’s league games.

After Manchester United defeated Manchester City 2-1 at Old Trafford earlier today, all attention shifted to the four Premier League games that kicked off at 16:00.

As expected, West Ham United visited Wolves at Molineux Stadium and continued with their woeful form as they suffered a 1-0 defeat away from home.

The defeat has pushed them down to the relegation zone with 15 points in 19 league games, a point away from safety.

Wolves are not also safe yet as they are currently sitting in the 16th spot with 17 points, two points away from relegation.

In the same vein, Nottingham Forest hosted struggling Leicester City at the City Ground and ensured that they grabbed the maximum three points.

The 2-0 win over Leicester, has pushed Nottingham Forest to the 13th spot with 20 points in 19 games, five points away from relegation. While Leicester City is left in the 15th spot with 17 points in 19 games.

The biggest stunner of the day happened in the game between Brighton and Liverpool at Falmer Stadium. Liverpool unexpectedly lost 3-0 to the in-form Brighton.

With the defeat, Liverpool is now down to the 8th spot with 28 points in 18 games, 7 massive points away from the 4th spot. While Brighton is occupying the 7th spot with 30 points in 18 games.

As for Everton, they are the only team that lost at home so far today. They continued with their woeful run by losing 1-2 against Southampton at Goodison Park.

The defeat has pushed Everton to the 19th spot with just 15 points in 19 games, the same points as bottom-placed Southampton.

The last league game tonight will take place between Brentford and Bournemouth which is scheduled to kick off at Gtech Community Stadium at 18:30.
