Nigerian actor, producer and movie director, Ayodeji Richard Makun, also known by his stage name AY, has said the fear of being blacklisted or attacked is the reason many celebrities keep mum on their preferred presidential candidate.

The comedian made this known via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday where he disclosed that most celebrities become slaves to fear during the election season.

According to him, when a celebrity takes a stand on any political candidate of their choice, they are likely to be attacked by clueless thugs who would do anything to secure their own interests.

He wrote: “Most celebs have become slaves to fear during elections. Whenever they publicly take a stand on any political candidate of their choice, they are either BLACKLISTED or ATTACKED by clueless thugs who would do anything to secure their own interests. Stop putting them under pressure.”

Tacha Storms The Street To Give Money To PVC Holders

Meanwhile, former Big Brother Naija ‘PepperDem’ Housemate, Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, sparked reactions after giving out money to Nigerian citizens with Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).

Naija News reports that the reality TV star has been outspoken about the forthcoming 2023 election and always takes every opportunity to educate Nigerians on the need to vote wisely.

In a video shared online, Tacha was captured giving out money to some Nigerians as they display their PVCs.

Speaking in the video, Tacha said anyone who fails to collect their PVCs and comes out to vote on election day is one of the problems of Nigeria.

She added that it’s important for citizens to vote for a better Nigeria for the sake of their parents, siblings, and unborn children.
