APC Vs PDP: Tinubu's Aide, Onanuga Fingers Mahdi Over Comment On Kano APC Rally

A staunch supporter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Katsina-based activist, Mahdi Shehu, has taken to social media, Twitter, precisely to mock the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally in Kano yesterday.

Naija News reports that APC 2023 presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was in Kano on Wednesday, January 4, for his campaign electioneering activities.

Videos and images seen online showed that a mammoth crowd came out for the rally held at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.

Taking to his Twitter, Mahdi criticized the Kano APC rally, alleging that the party’s presidential candidate hired a crowd to attend his rally.

The activist further mocked Tinubu, saying despite the hired crowd, he could not address his supporters for a minute after their long wait at the rally venue.

He wrote: “Disgraceful, shameful, and embarrassing. Tinubu, after hiring a crowd in Kano, spoke for less than 1 minute. No policy statement or concrete presentation. Please listen and see if God will forgive those packaging this calamity.”

In a swift reaction, Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign council spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, wrote on the comment section, “Mahdi, Mahdi, always attacking Tinubu.”

However, Naija News observed that Mahdi’s post was the same as the one on PDP campaign spokesperson Dino Melaye’s Twitter page.

Senator Melaye had made the same post earlier at exactly 4:30PM on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 while Mahdi made the same on his Twitter page at 5:05PM of the same day.
