Barcelona wants Kudus at Camp Nou

Catalan powerhouse, Barcelona, are eyeing Ghanaian ace, Mohammed Kudus who has been brilliant with his country so far at the World Cup.

Before the World Cup break, the 22-year-old could be said to have excelled both in his club and with his nation, recently scoring a brace for Ghana.

The Ajax midfielder, who recently netted a brace for Ghana, has reportedly caught the attention of a number of teams after dominating the World Cup with his performance.

However, Barcelona’s Sporting director, Jordi Cruyff, recently disclosed that the Spanish giants have been keeping an eye on the youngster for some time.

But, he revealed that La Liga giants are not in a position to sign the forward in the winter transfer window.

According to sports.es, the Sporting director told RAC1 this, “I saw him play a year ago and have followed his progress at Ajax,”

“But we’re not at the point of saying ‘Barca want this player,’ not at all,” he added.

Cruyff explained that Kudus had caught his eye with his displays and goals at the Mundial, while also mentioning the debate on whether the Ghanaian was an advanced midfielder or a forward.

“Right now we cannot sign in January,” he continued.

“The fair play situation has changed for a cumulation of reasons. It is not a question of if a player goes, it is all solved either. There are different solutions, but we are clear what we want to do if we can sign in January.” he said.

Kudus is also on the radar of English giants Liverpool, who have sent scouts to Qatar to watch the player in action at the World Cup.
