Sadio Mane makes Senegal world cup squad

FIFA’s Senegalese secretary general has stated that Senegal will employ the use of a witch doctor to heal Sadio Mane’s injury.

The Bayern Munich star was feared to be ruled out of Senegal’s World Cup campaign after picking a knock on his leg last week.

The star raised World Cup fears for his country after leaving the pitch 20 minutes into the game, which eventually ended in a 6-1 victory against Werder Bremen.

However, a source inside the national football association told AFP on Thursday that they were worried he might initially miss the competition.

But as of late, Fatma Samoura has revealed that the West African nation would use drastic measures to make sure the former Liverpool striker makes the 2022 World Cup event.

Samoura acknowledges that they are unsure whether the unconventional method would be effective but that they are praying for divine intervention.

While speaking to Europe 1, she said, “We are going to use witch doctors,”

“I don’t know (if they’re effective) but in this instance, we’re going to use them anyway. We are hoping for miracles. He has to be there!”

AFP, through a source, claims that the former Liverpool player will be selected despite limping off in this week’s 6-1 victory for Bayern Munich against Werder Bremen.

According to the source, “One thing is certain, Sadio Mane will be on the list tomorrow,”

More from the source, “(Mane) remains calm, he’s professional, he knows that injury is part of the job.”

However, Senegal’s talisman has been ruled out of Bayern’s last match before the World Cup against Schalke on Saturday.
