He's A Fantastic Player - PSG Speaks On Signing Ronaldo

The Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, might leave Old Trafford by January as club officials and the Manager are looking to maintain peace at the club.

The 37-year-old has had a trying two years at the club after making his eagerly awaited return to United last season.

Ronaldo hasn’t seen much action under Ten Hag after declaring his intention to leave the English Club in the summer.

According to reports, from Sky Sports journalist, Florian Plettenberg, the Red Devils are looking to replace the five-time Ballon d’Or winner with Erik Choupo-Moting should Portugal forward leave the club by January.

On Twitter, Plettenberg stated that “within the club they expect him [Ronaldo] to leave in the winter,” further indicating that Sporting Lisbon may be looking to move their former prodigy.

‘Bosses want to strengthen and Ten Hag wants to ensure tranquility. The search for successors is already underway (Choupo-Moting and others).” he wrote.

“A return to Sporting Lisbon should be an option.” he added.

After storming off the field during a 2-0 victory over Tottenham in September, the forward forced Ten Hag to play hardball with him because he had made it clear earlier in the summer that he wanted to leave to play in the Champions League.

The unity the Dutch manager has cultivated at the club has been threatened by Ronaldo’s wantaway attitude. After turning around their poor season last year, the manager now has the Red Devils on the verge of securing a top four spot.
