Adamawa State Govt Appoints 8 New Magistrates

The Chief Judge of Adamawa State, Justice Nathan Musa today, Friday swore in eight newly converted Area Court Judges to Magistrates, charging them to be pious and in conformity with the laws of the land.

Performing the swearing-in ceremony in his court hall, the CJ congratulated the new magistrates and urged them to maintain their high moral standards.

Justice Musa who reminded the Magistrates of the supremacy of the law, cautioned them against biased and unprofessional conduct in the course of their adjudication of cases.

He reiterated the position and commitment of the state judiciary to fighting for the course of justice as well as ensuring sanity in the judiciary.

The Chief Judge called on the public to report any act of misconduct and racketeering with regards to the judicial function by any officer, assuring that no such incident will go unpunished.

Justice Nathan Musa wished the converts success and best of luck in their new assignment.

Responding on behalf of the Magistrates, Mr Joseph Mafa appreciated the Chief judge for finding them worthy of their present positions.

He pledged to justify the confidence reposed in them by working within the tenet and ambit of law.

The Magistrates are Mr. Aliyu Ahmed, Mr. Ibrahim Aliyu, Mr. Abubakar Baby, Mr. Joseph Mafa and Mr. Usman Adamu others are Mr. Bashir Musa, Mr. Ibrahim Yusuf and Mr. Umar Hamman Audi.
