Gunmen Abduct Security Operative In Fresh Kaduna Attack

A security operative whose name is yet-to-be made available has been abducted in a fresh gunmen attack in Kaduna State.

The attack according to reports obtained by Naija News happened on Wednesday morning.

The gunmen are said to have invaded the Rigachikun community of Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State around 1 am today and abducted no fewer than four residents.

Daily Trust reports that the gunmen invaded the community close to Kasan Dam shooting sporadically on Wednesday morning without any confrontation.

A housewife, who pleaded for anonymity, said one of the victims is her husband’s friend.

“We couldn’t sleep due to gun sound that lasted for minutes. Four people were abducted, including a security operative, who lives with us in the community,” she said.

A resident who gave his name as Zaid explained further that the assailants injured one other person who was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

He explained that the injured victims whose wife and the child was abducted later returned home.

No comment however has been made by the government or the State Police Command as of the time of this report was given.

Spokesman of the Kaduna Police Command, ASP Mohammed Jalige, also could not be reached when the report was given, Naija News understands.

This is coming barely a week after twenty-two people were abducted in an attack in Idon town in the Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State by gunmen suspected to be bandits, Naija News recalls.

A resident of the community, Mr Aboki Danjuma who confirmed the incident to newsmen explained that the gunmen stormed the village shooting sporadically.

He added that they broke doors and windows while they injured at least four persons during the raid.
