No fewer than twenty-two people have been abducted in a fresh attack in Idon town in the Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State by gunmen suspected to be bandits.

Naija News learnt that the assailants invaded the town on Wednesday morning at about 12:30 a.m.

A resident of the community, Mr Aboki Danjuma who confirmed the incident to newsmen explained that the gunmen stormed the village shooting sporadically.

He added that they broke doors and windows while they injured at least four persons during the raid.

Also, a councillor in the Kajuru Local Government Area of the State, Bala Jonathan said after the attack, they discovered that the following people were taken away by the bandits: Justina Joseph, Mary Joseph, Rejoice Joseph, Stephen Joseph, Samson Ladan, Christiana David, Boniface David, Helen Aminu, Mirabel Aminu, Precious Philemon, Nelson Philemon and Christian Philemon.

Others are Yosi Gabriel, Stephen Clement, Jinkai Musa, Derrick Obadiah, Daniel David, Paul David, Istifanus Peter, Miracle Matthew, Jesse Charles and Favour Daniel.

He mentioned the four injured persons as David Maigaya, Micah Musa, Josephine Matthew and Marshall Musa.

Naija News understands that the Kaduna Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige has not yet responded to calls and messages put through to him to confirm the incident.
