Naija News learnt that assailants armed to the teeth stormed the Negga community at midnight and started shooting sporadically killing over seven people.

Negga which is a border community between Adamawa and Taraba is said to have suffered a series of attacks for years now.

Confirming the attack, Deputy Speaker and member representing Numan constituency, Pwamwakeno Mackondo strongly condemned the attack, saying his constituency lost seven persons, while seven others sustained injuries.

He also urged security operatives to fish out the perpetrators, adding that some military operatives have been stationed in the area to protect the people from these incessant attacks by suspected herdsmen

Reports reaching Naija News at this time claimed that those kidnapped in the Thursday morning attack include a customs officer, his wife, a woman Assistant Inspector of Police and another woman.
