Nigerian Man From Enugu Builds A Drone

A young man identified as Nnadi Chimaobi Michael from Obollo-Afor in Udenu LGA, Enugu State has built a drone from locally-made materials.

In the video that has become a growing sensation since it was first shared captured the moment Nnadi made the drone fly and land.

Speaking in Igbo, Nnadi noted that the materials used in building the drone were quite old and he’s surprised that it was still able to work

Sharing the video, he could be heard saying; ‘We are taking a flight now as you can see’

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Government has announced the suspension of inbound and outbound flights of Emirates Airlines with immediate effect. In a statement issued on Monday, the airline said passenger flights to and from Nigeria (Lagos and Abuja) are suspended from 21 June 2021 until further notice

The airline advised affected passengers to keep their ticket for future flights, saying it remains committed to Nigeria.

He said: “In line with government directives, passenger flights to and from Nigeria (Lagos and Abuja) are suspended with effect from 21 June 2021 until further notice,” the statement reads.

“Customers travelling to and from Lagos and Abuja will not be accepted for travel. Customers who have been to or connected through Nigeria in the last 14 days are not permitted to board from any other point to the UAE.

“We regret the inconvenience caused, and affected customers should contact their booking agent or Emirates call centre for rebooking. Emirates remains committed to Nigeria, and we look forward to resuming passenger services when conditions allow.”
