1. #EndSars: Buhari, Osinbajo Meet With IGP – Here Is What The President Said

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari on Friday evening met with the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu over the ongoing protests against police brutality. The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo was also present at the meeting held at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.

2. Court Sentences Serial Killer, David-West To Death By Hanging

A serial killer, identified as Gracious David-West has been sentenced to death by hanging by the Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt for multiple murder of several females in hotels in different parts of the state. The accused was charged with ten counts of murder and attempted murder in hotels in the state.

The Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has submitted that no state in Nigeria can measure up to his state in the fight against corruption. This Ganduje said on Thursday during the International Ombudsman Day celebration held at the Kano Anti-Corruption Institute (KANCI) in Kano.

Maina who is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for allegedly laundering N2bn stated this in a video which was spotted online on Thursday.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared that President Muhammadu Buhari was not addressing its members when he declared that only those on the IPPIS platform will get their salary. This position was made known by ASUU National President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi in his reaction to earlier reports that President Buhari has declared that lecturers not captured on the IPPIS platform won’t get their salaries.

Alpha Beta LLP, has debunked the report making round that the former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, diverted money through the company. The former Managing Director of the tax consultancy firm, Dapo Apara, had accused the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress of making mysterious payments of over N20bn to several private accounts.
