#ENDSARS: I Am Not Directly Affected By SARS – DJ Cuppy Speaks Up On Protest

Nigerian billionaire daughter, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known by her screen name as DJ Cuppy has taken to the social media to apologise to her fans for being silent for long on the ongoing #ENDSARS campaign.

The disc jockey who is a proud daughter of philanthropist, Femi Otedola, took to her Twitter account on Friday morning to say that though she has never been affected by the SARS policemen but that the brutality by the controversial unit of the police force has affected many of her fans and hence the need to speak up.

Dj Cuppy asked for forgiveness from her fans, noting that she was careful not to disobey has advisors and that was the reason for being silent for a while on the #ENDSARS campaign currently going on in the country.

She tweeted; ”Going against the advice of those around me, but it doesn’t feel right. Silence can say so much. My fellow Nigerians, forgive me for taking so long to comment

“I would lying if I said I’m DIRECTLY affected by SARS but a lot of my Cupcakes are and that’s enough for me to care. I stand behind the movement to #EndPoliceBrutality AND #EndSARS.”
