Kano: Ganduje Named Best Performing Governor

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has been named the best performing governor in Nigeria in the fight against coronavirus (COVID-19).

The honour was bestowed on the Kano governor by the African group of professionals called African Professionals Renaissance Network, based in Dakar, Senegal.

The group in a letter signed by the Secretary-General, Diouf Bakri Koalack, hailed Ganduje for his effort in the fight against the global pandemic.

According to them, his effort as the governor of Kano state, in the fight against COVID-19 in Nigeria is so glaring that even the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) appreciated him openly for all to know and copy.

APREN, as a group of professionals across African countries, beamed its searchlight across some selected African countries and underwent a study on how states respond to the pandemic wave.

Naija News reports that the NCDC on Tuesday evening reported fresh 304 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

The NCDC confirmed the new 304 cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria in a series of tweets on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.

According to the NCDC, of the three hundred and four new coronavirus cases recorded on Tuesday evening, 90 cases were recorded in  FCT 59  in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, Ondo -39 Taraba-18 Rivers-17 Borno-15 Adamawa-12 Plateau-3  Delta-9 Kwara-4 Ogun-4 Oyo-11 Kano-1 Bauchi-4, Nassarawa-2.
