The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Wednesday, May 27 confirmed three hundred and eighty-nine new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, out of which two were accredited to the Governor Yahaya Bello’s led government in Kogi State.

Naija News understands that overall cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria as on Wednesday night, as confirmed by the health sector is totalled 8733.

However, after much controversies on why Kogi State and Cross Rivers has not recorded any cases of the dreadful disease, Governor Benedict Bengioushuye Ayade’s led government of Cross Rivers remains the only state in Nigeria with no cases of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Lagos State on the other hand, as usual, topped the report chat, but with a massive record of 256 new cases.

Nigerians have, however, taken to the social media to react to the new development in Kogi State, recording two cases after several months that the deadly virus which has claimed thousands of lives across nations of the world break into Nigeria.
