Meet Yusuf Sambo, Young Nigerian Leading 5G Network Revolution In Scotland

Since the outbreak of Coronavirus which has been killing thousands of lives across the world, different opinions and suggestions as to the origin of the deadly disease have been made by world leaders, scientist, religion heads and concerned citizens from different nations.

No solid confirmation yet as to the cause and source of the virus. Although all fingers have been pointed to China as the pioneer of the disease following the outbreak of the virus from Wuhan.

Meanwhile, the Chinese foreign ministry has levelled allegation against the U.S. Army, accusing them of importing Coronavirus to Wuhan, China.

While still in search for answers as to the truth behind the dreaded virus, another opinion broke the internet a few days ago, alleging that the new generation of network, the 5G LTE network is the cause of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Naija News understands that the 5G LTE network has been condemned by many since its inception.

About seven months ago, this online news platform reported that the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive, Nigerian Communications Commission, Prof. Umar Danbatta, has revealed that the country will soon start using the  Fifth Generation service network in the country.

Since a report emerged that the Federal Government of Nigeria has turned a green light to the installation of the 5G network in the country, Nigerians in the know have stood against the development, with claims that the new generation of the network is harmful to human health.

However, it will interest you to know that a Nigeria youth who goes by the name, Yusuf Abdulrahman Sambo is part of Scotland’s 5G Revolution team.

Short Biography Of Yusuf:

Yusuf Sambo, 32 years of age hails from Northern part of Nigeria, Kaduna State to be precise. He was birth in a community in Ikara Local Government of Kaduna State.

Family: Yusuf is from the family of Mallam Abdulrahman Sambo, a former acting executive secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

Education: Yusuf had his First School Leaving Certificate (Primary School) at Command Children School, Abuja.

He furthers with his Secondary School Education at Zaria Academy, Shika to obtain his SSCE certificate.

Not wasting time, Yusuf proceeds to Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria where graduated with a 2nd Class Upper degree in Electrical Engineering in the year 2010.

The young talented Yusuf forged ahead to have his Master’s Degree in Mobile and Satellite Communications at the University of Surrey, graduating with distinction and two publications.

It will amaze you to also know that Yusuf had his PhD at the age of 27.

His is a tech lover, a researcher, a man with big dreams.

Presently, according to a report a few months ago, Yusuf is now a research associate and the 5G-SON (self-organised network) testbed lead at the University of Glasgow, UK.

However, the debate on whether to allow 5G LTE network to be in Nigeria has continued as citizens take sides.

Many are of the opinion that claims by some persons that the network is harmful are not true, while others reiterate that the procedures involved with the installation and use of the network are a prove of it harmfulness as it has to be embedded in the human system.
