Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has berated Adams Oshiomhole’s attitude towards his administration, noting that it’s unfortunate that Oshiomhole who is a one time governor of the state and has full knowledge of how things are been done, but will rather choose to override all formalities.

According to Obaseki who spoke during a visit by the former President Goodluck Jonathan, he stated that the APC Chairman should inform him of his visits to the state.

This media platform understands that Obaseki and Oshiomhole have been relating as ‘Cat and Rat’ in Edo state for a while now.

Responding to newsmen on Sunday during the visit, Obaseki said it is sad that “a former governor of the state and allegedly suspended National Chairman of the All Progress Congress, Oshiomhole, disregarded protocol anytime he visited the state.”

He further pointed out that Oshiomhole despite his former position in the state has decided to shun all protocols he should have simply adhere to.

He said, “It is really sad that someone who has been governor of the state is visiting the state and does not realise that courtesy demands he should inform the incumbent governor or other government apparatus of his visit. He doesn’t inform the chief executive who is in charge of his security when he is in the state.”

“As someone who has served the country, courtesy demands that you inform the governor of the state that you are coming and if you have time during the visit, you can pay him a courtesy call. It is really sad and unfortunate that people who have served the state and who should know better behave the way they do, with impunity and lawlessness.”
