Son Kills Father

Trouble befell a young man in Ebonyi State who took his father’s life over the food he cooked before leaving to visit a friend.

Iduma was said to be infuriated by his father’s action who ate his meal while he was away and thereby killed him after some exchange of words between them.

Naija News understands that Mr Emmanuel Oba Iduma, Idunma’s father was murdered by his own son in Amaofia Ngbo community, in the Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, since December last year.

A witness confirmed to newsmen that the young man had killed the father upon his return home to find out that the yam he cooked before leaving to see a friend has been eaten by his father.

“While they quarreled over the cooked yam, the father had hit the son with his walking stick, and in retaliation, the son hit him back, he then fell down and died.” said the eyewitness.

When contacted, the Ebonyi State Police Command arrested Chibueze Iduma, and handed him over to a Magistrate’s Court in Abakiliki over the murder.

In another news, Naija News had reported that a man identified as Faruq Seidu has been arrested for allegedly hiring three men to kidnap his brother’s seven-year-old child, Abdulmalik Musa, and killed him after collecting #300,000 as ransom.

According to a report, Musa was abducted from his parents’ residence at Sabo Ilupeju, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The Ogun State police command arrested the 34-year-old Faruq and the suspected kidnappers, Hassan Hussein, 30; Habib Nurah, 24; and Muhammed Bello, 42, and they were paraded at the crime scene, besides the Ogun River, Lafenwa, Abeokuta, where the boy was allegedly strangled and thrown into the river.
