1. Minimum Wage: Labour Sends ‘Strong’ Message To Federal Government

The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) has called on the Federal Government to urgently conclude the discussion on the new minimum wage and move to the implementation stage. Mr. Gbenga Ekundayo, the TUC Chairman in Lagos State made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Lagos.

2. Fatoyinbo’s Ex-Mentor Gives Shocking Updates On Rape Allegation By Busola Dakolo

Fresh updates on the rape allegation levelled against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of CommonWealth of Zion (COZA) by Busola Dakolo, wife of singer Timi Dakolo has emerged. In the new updates, Reverend Busola Olotu, a clergywoman who Biodun Fatoyinbo took as a mentor, has in an exclusive interview with media personality, Adesuwa Onyenokwe, revealed that Busola’s sister, Funmi Ayeni, had in 2011 spoken to her on how her sister, Busola, had become troubled after she was allegedly raped by Fatoyinbo.

3. Court Orders FG To Take Over Assets Linked To Oyo-Ita

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Thursday ordered the permanent forfeiture of some assets linked to the former Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita. It is understood that the assets were earlier returned to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) by a suspect linked to Oyo-Ita.

Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives has opined that the socio-economic misfortune in the power sector is as a result of the activities of unpatriotic serving and retired public officeholders. This, Gbajabiamila stated while he was declaring open the investigative hearing into the Federal Government’s abandoned power projects from 1999 to date.

5. Nigeria Shunned As Saudi Arabia Approves E-Visa, Visa On Arrival For 49 Countries (Full List)

The Saudi Arabia government has shunned Nigeria from the forty-nine countries whose citizens will be able to get e-visa online as well as visa on arrival. The list was released on Friday, few days after the Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Nigeria, Adnan Mahmoud, promised his country was keen on improving the relationship with Nigeria.

6. Bayelsa Speaker, Tonye Isenah Resigns

Tonye Emmanuel Isenah, the Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, has resigned and has promised to vacate his position on Monday when the house resumes. According to the report, the Speaker vacated his position due to pressure mounted on him by some leaders in the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the November 16th governorship election.

7. Gov’ship Election: INEC Sends Non-sensitive Materials To Bayelsa, Kogi

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, has revealed that the commission has delivered all non-sensitive materials for the governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa states. The INEC Chairman made this known on Thursday while speaking at the Anniversary Colloquium marking the Press Week of the Lagos State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

8. CAN Backs Osinbajo Over Alleged N90b Saga

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has thrown its weight behind Vice President Yemi Osinbajo amidst allegations of collecting N90 billion. Naija News recalls that a former National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timi Frank, had accused Osinbajo of collecting N90 billion from the Federal Inland Revenue (FIRS) to fund the 2019 election.
