Bello Confident Of Defeating PDP In Kogi

The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has reacted to the emergence of Musa Wada as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Recall as earlier reported by Naija News, Wada, a younger brother of the immediate past Governor Idris Wada, scored 748 votes to clinch the PDP ticket.

He defeated several other contestants including Senator Dino Melaye to emerge winner of the PDP primary election in Kogi State.

Speaking on Wednesday, Gov. Bello said he will defeat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) convincingly in the November 16 governorship election in Kogi State.

Recall Bello who is seeking reelection as the governor of Kogi state, has already secured the ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on which platform he is running for a second term in office.

Furthermore, the Governor said he is not threatened by the fact that Engr. Musa Wada, the governorship candidate of the PDP is from Igalaland in Kogi East senatorial district.
