Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), popularly known as Shiites have clashed with the operatives of the Nigerian Police during a protest in Abuja on Monday.
Naija News understands that the Shiite members clashed on Monday after the group dared the government that they were ready to continue their protest until the government cond=siders releasing their leader, El-Zakzaky.
The police fired gunshots and tear gas to disperse the protesters.
The clash sparked panic as anxious workers, commuters and motorists fled in fear.
