President Muhammadu Buhari has promised the leader of Afenifere, a Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, that the “security agencies will ensure that the culprits”, who killed his daughter, Funke Olakunrin, are “arrested and brought to justice.” Naija News had reported earlier that the Yoruba socio-cultural organisation announced the killing of Mrs. Olakunrin by suspected herdsmen in a terse message sent to The PUNCH on Friday by the spokesman for Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin.

2. Pa Fasoranti Reacts To Daughter’s Death, Makes Demand From Buhari

The leader of Afenifere, a Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, says he never knew Friday, July 12, would be the last day that he would see his daughter, Funke Olakunrin, who was shot dead along Benin-Ore highway by persons suspected to be “herdsmen.” Naija News had reported earlier that the Yoruba socio-cultural organisation announced the killing of Mrs. Olakunrin by suspected herdsmen in a terse message sent to The PUNCH on Friday by the spokesman for Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin.

3. Yoruba Group Gives Miyetti Allah 24 Hours To Find Killers Of Afenifere Chairman’s Daughter

A Southwest group, Yoruba Youth Socio-cultural Association (YYSA), has given Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) a three-day ultimatum to fish out the killers of Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, daughter of Afenifere Chairman, Pa Reuben Fasoranti. The group which expressed shock over the killing by persons suspected to be herdsmen in Ondo State made this known in a statement signed by its National President, Olalekan Hammed.

4. Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Explodes Over Killing Of Funke Olakunrin By ‘Herdsmen’

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has called on the Yorubas to see the killing of Funke Olakunrin, the daughter of Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti as “another wake-up call.” Naija News had reported earlier that the Yoruba socio-cultural organisation announced the killing of Mrs. Olakunrin by suspected herdsmen in a terse message sent to The PUNCH on Friday by the spokesman for Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin.

one of the sons of Reuben Fasoranti, a leader of Afenifere, Kehinde, has disclosed how his sister, Funke Olakunrin, was killed in Ondo State. Afenifere’s spokesman, Mr Yinka Odumakin had in a statement claimed that Mrs Olakunrin was killed by persons suspected to be herdsmen while heading to Ore Junction from Akure, Ondo State, where she was attacked and shot by her attackers.

7. Herdsmen: Ohanaeze Blows Hot Over Death Of Fasoranti’s Daughter

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo youth wing has condemned the death of Funke Olakurin, daughter of Reuben Fasoranti, a leader of Afenifere. Naija News reports that she was shot dead by armed men at Benin-Ore road on Friday afternoon.

8. 15 Killed In Terror Attack In lia

At least 15 people have been killed while dozens of others have sustained various degrees of injuries. According to the Police, the incident happened after some unknown gunmen, armed to the teeth, stormed the heavily fortified Asasey Hotel in Kismayo, about 500 km south of the capital Mogadishu.

Former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Ahmed Yerima has dismissed reports that Governor Bello Matawalle agreed to return to the APC when he becomes governor. Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, Yerima stated that Matawalle was exercising a mandate given to him by the Supreme Court and not the people.
