The Senator representing Adamawa North in the National Assembly, Elisha Abbo, has pleaded not guilty after he was arraigned for allegedly assaulting a woman in Abuja at a sex toy shop.
The Senator was arraigned on Monday by the Federal Capital Territory police at Zuba Magistrate Court, Abuja.
Recall that the lawmaker had been seen assaulting a woman at a sex toy shop in Abuja, an action which did not go down well with many Nigerians.
Following the public outcry, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu directed the Commissioner of Police in charge of FCT, CP Bala Ciroma to investigate the matter.
The investigation saw the lawmaker invited to the command which further led to his detention on Thursday.
He was however released on Friday afternoon after meeting the bail conditions.
