Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has reacted following the delay in the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Ministerial Cabinet.

This is as Naija News reports that there is tension in some quarters over those who may emerge in the said list.

The PDP chieftain who was a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today said the All Progressive Congress APC is yet to find its feet in the country.

“It’s absolutely despicable to watch people in the same party contesting against certain positions. Our party (the PDP), we have a way of handling this.

“And it shows you that this APC party is yet to find its feet in this country. There is only one skipper on board a ship, there is only one captain onboard a ship.

“When you hear the cacophony of voices telling you I am the leader of the party when the President as a member of the party is there, he is automatically the leader of the party,” he said.

He also blamed the ruling party over some reported protests by its members ahead of the inauguration of new cabinet members for the President’s second term.

“Have they been able to appoint the ministers? Is it true that protesters went to the Defence House from one group and another set of protesters from another group?” he asked.

When asked if the perceived lobbying is part of the democratic process, the PDP chief said the situation shouldn’t have degenerated into protests by groups.

“When it comes to distribution of positions to people, it shouldn’t get to that level. It means there is no proper administrative management of the party,” he said.
