Charles Idahosa, a former political aide to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, accused his former principal of causing the crisis that is rocking the 7th Edo State House of Assembly.

Speaking to newsmen, Idahosa stated that the APC chairman refusal to speak on the alleged rift with Governor Godwin Obaseki was responsible for the behaviour of some lawmakers-elect.

He noted that Governor Obaseki had come out to deny any rift with Oshiomhole, who was a former governor of the state.

“Oshiomhole’s continued silence on the altercation with Governor Godwin Obaseki prompted the Edo Peoples Movement Group to deny Governor Obaseki a second term ticket,” Obaseki said.

Meanwhile, Naija News reported that Seidu Oshiomhole representing Etsako West 11 in the Edo state House of Assembly, was beaten up by some suspected hoodlums.

The lawmaker who is also the direct younger brother of APC national chairman, Oshiomhole was allegedly attacked alongside 14 other lawmakers-elect in the state.

The lawmakers were reportedly holding a meeting at an undisclosed location when they were attacked by thugs.
