Ndume Reacts After Losing Senate Presidency To Ahmed Lawan

Senate Ali Ndume (APC-Borno South) has congratulated Senate President Ahmed Lawan for his victory as the president of the 9th National Assembly.

Naija News reports that Lawan defeated Senator Ali-Ndume with 79 votes, out of the total of 107 votes cast.

Senator Ndume was seen to have stood up and shaken hands with Senator Lawan, indicating his acceptance of the outcome of the election.

Lawan was announced the winner by the clerk to the National Assembly, Mohammed Sani-Omolori, after a secret ballot voting system.
