Simi Reacts To Naira Marley’s Arrest

The arrest and ordeal been gone through by Nigerian singer, Naira Marley in the hands of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has attracted comment from Simi.

Simi is a fellow Nigerian singer whom Naija News recalls recently condemned the activities of internet fraudsters popularly known as Yahoo boys.

Speaking on Marley’s arrest, Simi declared she isn’t happy with what the singer is currently going through.

She made her position known last night during an Instagram chat with some of her followers when one of them asked, in particular, if she was happy with what Marly is going through.

The user wrote; “You happy Naira Marley is arrested yeah?”. And Simi replied with a blatant “No.”

As previously reported by this online medium, the EFCC slammed an 11-count charge on Marley but the singer pleaded not guilty when he appeared before a Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday.

Marley was subsequently remanded in prison until 30th May for hearing on his bail application.

He was arrested after releasing his song titled ‘Am I a yahoo boy’ which has now gathered over a million views on Youtube.
