1. Kachikwu speaks on fuel scarcity

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu has on Sunday assured Nigerians that there is sufficient Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as fuel, in the country.

Kachikwu gave the assurance to dispel the rumour suggesting that the country might still experience fuel scarcity.

2. IPOB reacts as APC claims Atiku is from Cameroon

The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), says the claim by the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, that Atiku Abubakar is not a Nigerian, confirms remarks made by its leader, Nnamdi Kanu as truth.

Naija News recalls that had said during a live broadcast via Radio Biafra in London, United Kingdom on Saturday, February 2 that Abubakar is from Cameroon.

3. Senate Presidency: Senator Lawan speaks on meeting PDP Governors

Senate Majority Leader, Ahmed Lawan, has denied meeting with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors over his ambition to become the next Senate President.

The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) made the denial in a statement by his campaign group spokesman, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi.

4. APC passes vote of no confidence on National Vice Chairman

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto has passed a vote of no confidence on the party’s national vice chairman, North West, Malam Inuwa Abdulkadir.

The APC passed the vote on Saturday during the Sokoto State Executive Committee of All Progressives Congress.

5. Rivers rerun elections: PDP wins state assembly seats

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won the two pending State House of Assembly rerun elections held in Rivers State.

The rerun polls covered four Local Governments Areas of Gokana, Abua/Odual for Gokana state constituency, and Ahoada West, Opobo/Nkoro for Ahoada West state constituency.

6. Election tribunal: Why Atiku’s lawyer can’t practice in Nigeria – INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has stated that the lawyer of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, was not licensed to practice in Nigeria.

The former Vice President had filed a petition before the presidential election petition tribunal to challenge the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.

7. 9th National Assembly: Ekweremadu, Dino Melaye jostle for Senate minority leader

Three Senators elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are reportedly leading the race for the Minority Leader position in the forthcoming 9th session of the Senate, according to feelers from the party.

Topping the list is the outgoing Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu.

Also in contention are Senator Dino Melaye (Kogi West) and Senator Ayo Akinyelure (Ondo Central).

8. Supreme Court gets records on appeal by Zamfara Gov-elect

The Supreme Court has received the records of proceedings at the lower courts in relation to the appeal filed by Zamfara State’s governor-elect, Mukhtar Idris and 37 others, against the judgement of the Court of Appeal in Sokoto.

The compilation and transmission of records by an appellant and the receipt of such records by the Supreme Court are major requirements for a competent appeal.

9. Atiku not working against Buhari – Paul Ibe

Paul Ibe, the Media Adviser to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has stated that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not working against President Muhammadu Buhari.

He stated that the PDP had already responded on the possible threat to Atiku.

10. Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp down same time

Social media networks, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp which belongs to Mark Zuckerberg all experienced a worldwide down network.
