The Peoples Democratic Party has mocked the President Muhammadu Buhari administration and the All Progressives Congress on the state of the Nigeria Air project.

The main opposition party said this in reaction to the take-off of the Akwa Ibom state government-owned Ibom Air.

Naija News recalls the federal government in July 2018, announced the new name and unveiled the logo for the nation’s new national carrier as “Nigeria Air.

Minister of state for transportation, Hadi Sirika, made the disclosure in London at the Farborough Air fair.

In September 2018, the Minister again announced that the planned national carrier, Nigeria Air has been suspended by the federal government.

Sirika, on his Twitter handle, @hadisirika, tweeted: “I regret to announce that the Federal Executive Council has taken the tough decision to suspend the National Carrier Project in the interim. All commitments due will be honoured. We thank the public for the support as always.”

On the basis of this, the opposition PDP has now mocked the inability of the federal government to complete the national carrier project.

It said on its Official Facebook page:

“The All Progressive Congress (APC), led Federal Government scammed Nigerians with Nigeria Air, launched LOGO designed with billions of Naira! But the PDP Government of Akwa Ibom State is here with the #IbomAir. Three Aircrafts ready & one landed in Lagos last night.”

“Thank You, Udom Emmanuel.”
#IbomAir is here, where is Nigeria Air?
