Aisha Buhari Throws Weight Behind Bindow Of Adamawa State.

Ahead of the forthcoming elections, Wife of the President Muhammadu Buhari, Lady Aisha has called on the people of Adamawa State to vote for current governor Mohammed Bindow instead of her brother Halilu Modibbo, because according to her, they are brothers.

Recall that Aisha’s brother, Dr. Modibbo, had contested for the party’s governorship in the 2018 primaries, and Bindow’s emergence as the party candidates had angered the First Lady, making her to call out the party leadership.

However, at the Adamawa rally yesterday, Aisha noted that “politics should be played with maturity and tolerance for the future of our dear state.”

She also pleaded with the electorate to vote for her husband as he seeks reelection via the forthcoming presidential election scheduled for Saturday, 16 February, 2019.

The First Lady who is the chairperson of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Women and Youth Presidential Campaign Tea m, made the plea at a campaign rally in Yola.

Recall that the First lady has just returned and continued with the campaign after a rumour of illness

Hajiya Buhari, represented by a former Military Administrator of Lagos State, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (retd); and chairman of the Central Working Committee (APC Women and Youth Presidential Campaign Team), urged the people to vote the APC at all levels in the coming elections for their benefits.

A copy of her speech read on her behalf by Marwa in Abuja today read:

“Put aside your differences and grievances to support the party and our governorship candidate, Mohammed Jibrila Bindow, as well as other APC contestants to clinch the state,

Marwa added that the First Lady wanted the people to know that Governor Bindow and her brother, Modibbo, “are both the same to the First Lady and regard them as her brothers.”
