Breaking News: Adeleke And Oyetola To Battle In Re-run election On Thursday

The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced that there would be a re-run election on Thursday, September 27 in Osun state.

Less than an hour ago, the electoral body had declared the governorship election in Osun state inconclusive due to the margin of victory between the two leading candidates.

At the end of collation of results, Ademola Adeleke of the PDP won majority votes of about 254,698 while Gboyega Oyetola of the APC came a close second with 254,345 votes.

According to INEC there would be a re-run election involving all 48 governorship candidates in 7 Poling units in Ife North, Ife South and Orolu local government areas affected by electoral irregularities.
