13,000 Households To Benefit From FG’s Fund Transfer In Adamawa

At least 13,520 households in Adamawa State are expected to benefit from the Federal Government’s Conditional Cash Transfer, CCT, programme this year.

This was announced by Mr. Zhegun Joseph, CCT Head of Programme, in Yola that the programme was in part fulfillment of President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign promises and was designed to support the less-privileged in the society.

He said: “The pilot scheme of the programme kicked-off in August 2017, with 8,653 beneficiaries in six local government areas of the state.”

Joseph added that areas that had benefited from the programme in Adamawa are Madagali, Michika, Song, Girei, Numan and Lamurde.

He said every benefitting household will get a monthly stipend of N5,000.
