Women of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, took to the street of Owerri, Imo state, to demand the immediate release of their Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and for the total liberation of Biafra Nation.

The whereabouts of Kanu has been unknown since 14th September 2017, when Soldiers stormed the Afara Ukwu, Umuahia country home of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, allegedly killing 22 of his members and arrested 18 others.

Meanwhile, the protest is happening a day after the Nigerian Army announced its readiness to embark on Operation Python Dance 3 in major communities in South East.

This was disclosed yesterday by the General Officer Commanding, GOC, 82 Division Nigeria Army, Maj. Gen. Emmanuel Boman Kabuk, at the 302 Artillery Regiment, (General Support) Onitsha, Anambra State, when he paid a familiarisation visit to the military cantonment, having resumed duties in Enugu on August 6, 2018.
