Ilorin West PDP Members Burn Membership Cards

Another huge drama occurred today in Ilorin West chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party as members burnt their membership cards.

Naija News understands that the chairman, Ilorin west PDP, Abubakar Suleiman who spoke on behalf aggrieved member revealed that ninety five percent of its members have decamped and are now members of the All Progressives Congress.

Ilorin west local government area of kwara state is the local government the Senate President, Bukola Saraki hails from. However, the PDP chairman of that local government in a symbolic gesture said he and majority of his members have defected to the APC as they cannot be in the same party with Saraki.

Receiving the defected members, the chairman caretaker committee of the APC in the state, Bashir Bolarinwa lauded them for collapsing the twelve wards of the PDP and charged them to work towards ensuring that APC emerges victorious in next year’s general election.

They have also repainted their secretariat building to the colour of the All Progressives Congress, to reflect membership of their new party.
