Ambode, Obaseki, Others Congratulate Fayemi Over Victory At The Polls

Joining the team of those congratulating  Kayode FayemiEkiti State Governor Elect on his victory on Saturday are Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and Senator Ifeanyi Ararume.

On his own part,  Ambode congratulated Fayemi for emerging victorious at the keenly contested governorship election and commended President Muhammadu Buhari, the leadership and members of APC and its supporters for the hard-fought victory adding that it was a testament to the fact that the electoral value of the party has not waned.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Habib Aruna, he urged  Fayemi to use his second coming to build on its previous achievements and forge ahead with the quest to unite the Yoruba nation, especially through regional integration and economic transformation of the South-West geo-political zone and justify the confidence the Ekiti electorate have reposed on him.

In the same vein, Obaseki congratulated Fayemi,while he commended Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) for a well conducted election.

In a statement by his Special Adviser, Media and Communication Strategy, Crusoe Osagie, the Governor said “I join millions of Nigerians in the country and beyond to congratulate the Ekiti State Governor-elect, Dr. Fayemi on his victory at the gubernatorial poll in Ekiti State. I also commend INEC for ensuring that the wishes of Ekiti people prevailed in our collective commitment to consolidate on the gains of our fledgling democracy.’’

Following the tune of his colleagues, a chieftain of APC Imo State, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume, celebrated Fayemi’s victory and encouraged the Imo People to follow the examples of the Ekiti People by rejecting godfatherism and stomach infrastructure.

The Federal Commissioner representing the South East in the National Communications Commission, NCC,  also urged Fayemi to embrace the entire people of Ekiti and see them as one irrespective of their political affiliation and spread development in equal proportions across the state.
