Ex-PDP Chairman Makarfi, Declares Interest In 2019 Presidential Race
A former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party and ex-Kaduna State governor, Ahmed Makarfi, says he will contest for Nigeria’s presidency in 2019.
Makarfi who made his intention known while speaking with journalists in his residence in Kaduna said he has consulted with stakeholders in the party and has informed them of his ambition.
Buhari To Sign Budget Wednesday
A presidential source has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari will sign the 2018 budget into law on Wednesday by 11am.
Recall Femi Adesina, special adviser to the president on media and publicity, had told state house correspondents that the president would sign the budget this week.
Jonathan Starved Niger Delta Of Funds – Ekere
Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Dr. Nsima Ekere has accused former President Goodluck Jonathan of poor funding of the interventionist agency during his administration.
The NDDC boss said Jonathan refused to channel the huge funds meant for the commission for the development of the Niger Delta to it main purpose, despite the fact that he hails from the region.
