Osun Election: APC Wins All 389 LG Seats

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all 389 candidates in Saturday’s councilorship election in Osun State.
The Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC) announced this on Sunday, as it released the official results to newsmen in Osogbo, the capital.
The chairman of OSIEC, Segun Oladitan said 318 of the candidates were returned unopposed.
Oladitan added that 128 of the returned candidates were from Osun Central Senatorial District, while 117 were from Osun West, with the rest 73 from Osun East Senatorial District.
The remaining 71 candidates, who summed up the figures, were voted for at the poll.
Meanwhile, The OSIEC chairman said 52 of the voted candidates were from Osun East, 13 from the West while six came from Osun Central Senatorial District.
Hence, the OSIEC Chairman issued certificates of return to all councillors.
