Lagos-Ibadan Express Way To Be Completed By Dec. 2018

Lagos-Ibadan rail line would be completed By Dec. 2018 -amaechi

Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has announced that the Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge rail line would be completed in December 2018.

Amaechi also noted that the commissioning of the project would hold in Jan 2019.

The minister made the revelation at the end of the year news briefing and inspection of Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge rail line in Papalanto, Ogun.

He expressed how impressed he was with the level of the ongoing construction work, noting that the contractors were facing some challenges which was slowing the pace of the work.

However, the Jibowu and Costain bridges in Lagos would be demolished in the process, Amaechi stated.

He also said the transport ministry had gotten the right of way.
