-John Oyegun, APC national chairman has said the party will win the November Anambra elections.

With only a few weeks left to the November 18 gubernatorial election in Anambra State, political gladiators have begun plottings to determine which party will lay claim to the mantle of leadership in the state.

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief John Odigie Oyegun has advised the current Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano, to start preparing his handover note to the in-coming governor that will emerge from the APC.

Odigie-Oyegun stated this in Awka, the Anambra State capital while inaugurating the State chapter of the coalition of APC support groups.

Represented by the deputy national chairman, Coalition of APC support group South, Ambassador Mustapha Adeyawayu, Oyegun tasked the group to embark on immediate house- to-house mobilization exercise to convince the Anambra electorate on the need to vote for APC and return the state to the ruling party.

He said, “I charge you as coalition group to work as a team and ensure that you leave no stone unturned to bring more people to join the party in your various wards and local government areas.

“We are confident that APC is going to win the Anambra election come November 18 and all hands must be on deck to ensure that APC sweep the polls.”

Meanwhile, the Indegenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) and its leader, Nnamdi Kanu have called for the boycott of the scheduled elections, insisting the Anambra polls will not hold except a referendum on Biafra was called before the date.
