There is tension in Asaba communities following the death of a security officer and one other unidentified person.

Naija News learnt that the officer was allegedly beheaded and burnt to death with a motorcycle along Ugbolu mi-5 road in the Ugbolu community while the civilian was stabbed to death.

According to PUNCH, hoodlums suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra invaded the community in the early hours of Friday and killed two people.

The death of the two persons created panic in the areas as IPOB members stormed the streets chanting and shooting.

The dead bodies were found along Ugbolu road around 7:30 am, near the 63 Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters.

However, confirming the death, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Bright Edafe, said only one dead body was found.

Edafe said the details of the killing of the unidentified man were yet-to-be-ascertained, adding they are investigating the matter.

15 Die In Accident Involving Dangote Truck

Meanwhile, at least fifteen people reportedly died on Thursday in a tragic road accident involving a bus that allegedly belonged to Adamawa Sunshine Transport Corporation and a Dangote Company truck.

The vehicles with the registration numbers (Toyota Hiace Bus: YLA 984XA and Howo Trailer: DKD32 XB) collided yesterday at Nabardo town along Bauchi – Jos road in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

It was gathered that seven other persons sustained varying degrees of injuries from the accident, reportedly caused by speed violations and dangerous driving.

Confirming the incident, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corp, Bauchi State, Yusuf Abdullahi, told reporters that the command got wind of the incident and drafted its men, who arrived at the scene in eight minutes.
