Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho has been spotted in training with the club’s first team for the first time this year.

Months before the Qatar World Cup commenced in November, Jadon Sancho was battling with fitness issues and poor form.

Hence, since he was substituted in the 1-1 draw at Chelsea on October 22, the 22-year-old Englishman has not played for Manchester United.

To regain his fitness and form, the club’s coach, Erik ten Hag sent the England international to a private training program.

Sancho had to travel to the Netherlands in November for the training sessions which lasted until the end of the World Cup. He even missed United’s wet-weather Spanish training camp in December.

When asked why Jadon Sancho was not part of the United’s training program in Spain, coach Erik ten Hag said: “He’s not fit enough. Sometimes there are circumstances with fitness and mood. Now he’s on a physical program and we aim to get him back as quickly as possible.

“He was good (pre-season) but also when the league started he played some good games like Liverpool, Leicester, and Arsenal,” said Ten Hag, noting that he’d scored against Liverpool and Leicester and set up a goal against Spurs.

“After we got a drop of level and what happens sometimes you don’t know why or what is causing it.”

Sancho returned to the club’s training base, Carrington this month after his private training program in the Netherlands but didn’t link up with the club’s first-team squad immediately.

However, The Atlantic reported on Wednesday that Jadon Sancho was spotted training with the club’s first team on Tuesday.

If this is anything to go by, Sancho might make the team list for Manchester United and Crystal Palace Premier League game later tonight. The game is scheduled to kick off at 21:00.
